VATICAN & COLOSSEUM Special Tour Combination

In a single day, this tour will give you a glimpse of two faces of the Eternal City. Our tour starts from Rome's religious center: the Vatican Museums. Once inside the museums, with your skip-the-line ticket, you'll get a chance to see some of the most important artworks in the world, including the Apollo Belvedere, the Laocoön group, and the amazing Map Gallery, ending with Michelangelo's masterpieces, the Sistine Chapel and the Last Judgment. We then head to the St. Peter's Basilica, whose magnificent dome rises on Rome's skyline, an emblem of the Eternal City. Inside the Basilica we find more awe-inspiring artwork, such as Michelangelo's unique masterpiece, absolutely not-to-be-missed: the Pietà. Leaving the religious center behind, we head to the Flavian Amphitheatre area. After a quick lunch, we'll go inside the Colosseum where our guide will let us relive the thrills of the gladiators and emperors who shaped Ancient Rome. Next, we'll walk towards the Palatine Hill, affording a breathtaking view of the Roman Forum, the heartbeat of the Roman Empire's political and economic center. Our tour ends at the Forum to discover of the most important archaeological area in all of Italy.

Price includes: Three-hour guided tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's, a light lunch, transportation at Vatican Museums exit to a restaurant near the Colosseum, three-hour guided tour of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill.
Entry tickets with reservations to the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, plus headsets.
The light lunch includes bruschetta + first course, or bruschetta + 1 pizza and 1 liter of microfiltered water.

Not included: the St. Peter's Dome, tour of underground areas, third, fourth, and fifth tier of the Colosseum.
For the light lunch, extra charges apply for alcohol and coffee consumed or dishes other than those specified in the "price includes."

Vatican Museums Staircase

The guided tour's first stop is to discover the wonders of the Vatican Museums. After having taken in the museums' many sections, abounding in artworks of inconceivable worth, you'll delve into the awesome beauty of the Sistine Chapel, Let yourself be dazzled by Michelangelo's peerless mastery, seen in the Sistine Chapel, where he overcame none-too-few obstacles to make one of the greatest masterpieces of all time. Three hours with a professional guide will let you appreciate the true grandeur of this Papal treasure trove, awaiting discovery.
The tour continues inside the Basilica of St. Peter. Bernini's work will usher you with an embrace inside the world's most iconic Basilica, the living heart of Christianity.
After the three-hour tour, a bus will take you near the Colosseum where you will get to relish some traditional Italian cuisine. After a quick light lunch, we'll go on to discover Ancient Rome.
In the early afternoon, you'll enjoy the magical experience of going back in time, discovering the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill. The skip-the-line ticket to these monuments will also help you avoid wasting time to get the most out of the second part of your memorable day. The Colosseum — the stage of gladiator battles, public shows, and the icon of Rome — is Ancient Rome's most important surviving monument. Our tour continues to the Palatine Hill, ending at the Roman Forum, the nerve center of Ancient Rome.

NOTE: bags, metal objects, umbrellas, and animals are not allowed in the museums. Even though you have skip-the-line tickets, there may be a line for security checks. Visitors wearing shorts or sleeveless tops are not admitted in the Basilica. The museums require guests in wheelchairs to follow a different route, which prevents them from following the same route as the organized tour. If the Basilica is closed for a special religious event, the tour will include the museum's art gallery. Tour and itinerary are subject to the Vatican Museums' entrance time availability.
NOTE ON THE COLOSSEUM AND ROMAN FORUM: backpacks, suitcases, and large bags may not be brought into the sites. You must go through security checks at the metal detectors. The wait for these mandatory procedures cannot be avoided. Do not forget to bring a valid identification card or passport (one per person). The tour is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or with impaired mobility. Tour and itinerary are subject to Colosseum entrance time availability.
