Availability: Daily, except Sundays (when the Vatican Museums are closed) and on religious holidays.

The Bramante Staircase, for example, is one of the hidden treasures of the Vatican Museums. This extraordinary architectural masterpiece was designed by Donato Bramante, one of the leading architects of the Renaissance and a favorite of the Vatican. Normally closed to the public, the staircase can only be visited through a specially authorized opening arranged in advance.
