Availability: from 1st November to 28th February on Saturdays; from 1st March to 31st March every day except Wednesday and Sunday. From April 1st to October 31st every day except Sundays. (not available on religious holidays)
Available Times: 3 ranges of time are available. The exact starting time will be communicated on the reservation voucher sent by email within the range of time choosen.
Audioguide Duration: 60 minutes
Full price Ticket: 25,00 euro
Meeting Point: directly at Castel Gandolfo. Meeting point details will be communicated on the voucher which will be sent by email once your reservation procedure is completed.
REDUCTIONS
Half Price Ticket: 20,00 euro - children 6-18 years old and student under 25 years old with Student pass.
Children 0-5 years old are free. Please book the "Infant" ticket.

THE PONTIFICAL RESIDENCES OF CASTEL GANDOLFO
The Pontifical Residence of Castel Gandolfo is the place assigned for the summer residence of the Popes. The pontifical Residence cover an area of 55 hectares and it is in the area of Roman Castles, in the Roman territory. They origin is indeed very ancient: the most ancient nucleus dates back to the Medieval Era, when the owners were a powerful family from Liguria, the Gandolfi family. However it is just in the 17 century that the castle begins with the function for which it is world-known. Pope Urbano VIII is in fact the first Pope to spend the summer period here. As a consequence, he also decided to enlarge the structure of the villa: he ordered the construction of a new wing that faced the lake, and of the garden at the back of the villa. Garden which the visitor will see in the original state, as it has not been changed much during the centuries. Inside the residence the visitor will find an astronomical observatory, the Specola Vaticana, and Villa Cybo, projected by the architect Francesco Fontana. Moreover: Villa Barberini, the summer boarding school of Propaganda Fide (ex-convent for friars) and the convent of Poor Clare.
