Tour description: the tour begins in Saint Peters square. Here the visitor will be accompanied to the Vatican School of Mosaic, near the residence of Santa Marta, to admire and discover the work of the masters of mosaic and how they are realized, especially the mosaics that the Pope donates to the chief of states coming to Vatican for official visits. Inside the school the explanation is given by the direction of the school, which is also an expert of mosaic. The tour proceeds towards Saint Peters Basilica, inside Vatican City. Once in the Basilica, visitors have the possibility to join a guided tour aimed to discover the artistic treasures conserved in Saint Peters. The visitor can also admire the wonderful mosaic decorating the vaults, the Dome and the walls of the Basilica for more than ten-thousand square meters of surface.

The meeting point is – facing the Basilica - under the right side colonnade*, just in the middle, precisely in correspondence of the Police hurdle (see drawing below).The staff - wearing a blue jacket with the Vox Mundi logo printed on it - will wait for you to accompany you, through a dedicated gate, inside the Basilica.
