This beloved painter, Caravaggio, has long worked during his short life in Rome. Some of his most famous paintings are exhibited in the Borghese Gallery, the Vatican Museums, Palazzo Barberini. But other extraordinary works by Caravaggio are also exhibited in 3 churches in the capital.
This tour will lead you to the discovery of these masterpieces accompanied by an official and expert guide of the Caravaggesque material. Not only a visit to complete the knowledge of the art of the great painter, but rather the discovery of those works that are more difficult to reveal since they are not on a museum itinerary. In order to admire them in all their splendor it is in fact necessary to travel through these three Roman stages.

WHAT YOU WILL VISIT
Few are the works of Caravaggio in the world, just over 70. Many are in Rome. In this case, therefore, the exceptional opportunity to discover 6 of the most impressive and significant ones, kept in 3 different places but just over a kilometer away from each other.
The first two paintings are exposed in the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo. These are the Conversion of Saint Paul and the Martyrdom of Saint Peter. The church that homes them is located in Piazza del Popolo.
From here the tour moves on foot (10 minutes walk) to the Church of Sant'Agostino where you can admire the Madonna dei Pellegrini. Finally, just two minutes on foot you will reach San Luigi dei Francesi where you can enjoy the splendid Triptych of the Conversion of San Matteo.
This tour is also an opportunity to get closer to the art of Caravaggio for those who still do not know it thoroughly. The tour in fact includes in addition to the commentary of these wonderful paintings that you will also admire a wide introduction about the artist, his life, his art and his relationship with the greats of his time, of which he perhaps remains the greatest of painters! Caravaggio was in fact a character who already in life made a lot of talk about himself, both as a beloved, contested artist, but at the same time unpredictable and damned.
